man abusing squirrel

Three minors found themselves in a squirrelly situation Monday when Ball State University police caught them abusing a dead animal.

Muncie resident Robert Dennis, 18, was released from Delaware County jail early Tuesday on $2,000 bond after he was arrested after police say he abused a dead squirrel and filmed it with a cell phone, according to jail and police reports.

Dennis was arrested Monday on charges of criminal mischief, criminal recklessness and illegal possession of a fox squirrel out of season, according to police reports.

When police officers arrived, Dennis was kicking a dead squirrel near the McKinley Avenue parking garage, and two minors were beside him laughing, according to reports.

Officers found the three suspects abusing the squirrel and placed handcuffs on them, according to reports.

Police approached Ball State student Nathan Gropp, who had witnessed the incident. Gropp told police he saw the three throw the squirrel off the top level of the garage as a vehicle was pulling out underneath them, according to reports.

Gropp also reported the suspects threw the squirrel against the garage's walls and windows and kicked it several times.

Gropp told police he saw one of the suspects filming everything with a cell phone. Police found the phone, which had five videos showing the suspects doing everything Gropp reported and laughing in the background, according to reports.

Dennis was then taken to Delaware County Jail, and the two juveniles were taken to the Ball State Police Department.

According to the Indiana Code, if Dennis is convicted of his Class C misdemeanor, he could receive up to 60 days in prison and a maximum fine of $500.

This was the second incident Monday evening in which police caught people throwing objects off the top of the McKinley Avenue parking garage.

Earlier that evening, police found three middle-school-aged children dropping a large rock or cinder block off the top level of the structure, according to police reports.

Bob Fey, associate director of public safety, said the two incidents were unrelated.

"The incidents were coincidental," he said. "We haven't seen anything like this for quite a while. It looks like they were all juveniles involved."

Through they eyes of a dog

Well my name is Colby and I'm a dog. I live in a grassy place with a wooden fence around it, I never seen something so strange and I eat the same hard food every day of my life, so as you can tell I don't have a pretty easy life. My owner is awesome but mean at times, he kinda lives in a place like I do except they have some type of hard rock going around them and a top over their heads. I get really bored at times and have nothing to do at my home but when my master takes me with him to work, I love doing that because I like chasing rabbits. See my master works out in the fields and pulls off white soft stuff off of these sticks but in the mean time I just run around and chase things like other dogs or rabbits or even birds. Well I gotta run my master is calling for me. BARK!!!

My Room 101

In my room 101 there would be mentally challenged truck drivers and midget truck drivers because there is nothing more scarier than truck drivers chasing you around a room yelling your name trying to capture you and make you go with them on there long truck driving trips... wouldn't that be so boring? like just sitting there with a midget ridding in a big truck going who knows where. Well I'm done and that's what would be in my room 101!

christmas story

Well a long time and three days ago there was three guys and only two camels and the guys name were Obama and Bin laden and Michael Jackson and the camels names were YEE and HAW. So there out in the middle of no where on Christmas eve night trying to get back home when they only have two camels and Obama and Bin don't want to ride with eachother and both of them deffiently dont want to ride with Michael so they set there and fought and fought. So Michael took off on YEE by his self and bama and bin went chasing him on HAW, they chased mikey all through the night and all over the no where. Well michael ran into some trouble with santa clause and three little elfs and Obama couldn't believe that santa was real and bin laden didn't even know what was going on because he couldn't speak english and didn't know who santa was and micahel all he cared about was the little elfs and he was happy. Obama talked to santa and told him the situation their in and asked for his help so santa took them all home and everybody was happy, Obama got back to the white house and bin got back to wherever he was from and killed michael on the way home so michael didn't get the little elfs back to neverland!

The most important one to me is probably Michael because we been friends for the longest or well good friends for the longest and we shared some good times and a lot of things people don't know about us and I know Michael better than anybody and hes been there for me no matter what the problem was, he has always helped me and was there to make me laugh.

free blog/senior night

Well tonight is senior night and we play tulia here at our house. Before the ball game all the senior football players and cheerleaders and band gets to be announced with their parents. After the victory tonight (hopefully and surely) all the seniors run the field down and back which is pretty cool, I guess. After all of that though, I have no clue what I'm gonna do and I don't know whats going on, so I guess I'll just tag along with Michael or something. I'm so ready to graduate but, its gonna be so sad and i'm pretty sure ill cry and than laugh like I always do. Oh and today is the senior pep rally and our song is "so close now" by eli young band, which I never heard that song till today but it's a pretty good song, I like it. I'll be standing with my two bestfriends michael and logan and proably sawyer or somebody like that.
